Popup Toolkit Instant Mail-Send Buttons Tutorial

This is a very short tutorial. Here you will learn how to create popups using the Instant Mail-Send Buttons. Such a popup will send all the <INPUT> HTML elements (FORM elements) found in your popup content to the e-mail address that you choose.

How this works from the visitor's point of view? The visitor will see the popup and fill the required fields. Then they will hit the OK/Submit button and the information will be sent automatically from the visitor's mail client to your e-mail address. The visitor does not have to enter their e-mail address manually.

Now we will start step by step:

1. Open Popup Toolkit and go to 'Popup Content' tab (see fig. 1 below).
2. In the 'Instant Mail Send' section (lower right) check the checkbox 'Insert instant mail send buttons'.
3. In the field 'E-mail address(es)' enter your e-mail address(es) where you want your FORM data to be sent to.
4. In the field 'E-mail subject' choose an e-mail subject if you require one.
5. Finally, enter the text for the 'OK' and the 'Cancel' buttons respectively. Clicking the 'OK' button the visitor will send the FORM to your e-mail address (entered in the 'E-mail address(es)' field). The 'Cancel' button will close the popup. If you don't need a 'Cancel' button then leave the button text field blank.

Note: If you choose the 'Show e-mail' send method, instead of the 'Default' send method, the form information from the popup's content will NOT be sent. Instead, the text from the 'E-mail body' field will be sent.

Now go to the "Popup Content" tab/screen (see fig. 2 below). Here you will enter your popup content with all the HTML form elements that you need to be filled by your visitor and sent to your e-mail address.

Here you need to follow 3 steps:

1. Select "Create the Popup Content Using the HTML Content Editor" radio button.
2. Click on the WYSIWYG toolbar icon to switch the WYSIWYG into HTML code view mode.
3. Paste in the editor your form HTML code but remove from it the <FORM> and the </FORM> tags and also remove any submit buttons like <INPUT type='submit' value='Subscribe Now!'>.
